DORIS ELEANOR "ELLIE" (DiMASI) MARTIN

MARTIN, DORIS, ELEANOR “ELLIE”  (DiMASI) 92, of Cowesett Rd., Warwick, passed surrounded by her loving family, at Brookdale Greenwich Bay Assisted Living, on Monday, July 16, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene T. Martin. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Virginia (Blais) DiMasi.

Eleanor was an executive secretary at the former A.B. Dick Company for many years before retiring. She previously had been an auditor at the Sears & Roebuck Department store in Arctic. Eleanor was a daily communicant of St Gregory the Great Church in Warwick, of which she and her late husband were founding members. She was an active Bridge and Mahjong player.  She loved gardening and above all spending time with her family and friends.

She was the mother of Maureen L. Meyer (William Meyer) of East Greenwich, and Dennis Martin (Norma Colaccio) of Warwick. Eleanor was the grandmother of Scott A. Meyer, MD (Alison) of Basking Ridge, NJ, Daniel P. Meyer, Esq. (Emily) of East Greenwich, and Corey M. Meyer (Jillian) of Warwick; and the “GiGi” of Charlotte, Winnie, Luke, Gavin, Amanda and Cameron. Eleanor was the sister of the late Roland, Beatrice, Frank, Thomas DiMasi, Edith Dion, Irene Ruzzo and Anne Woolfall.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 10:00 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd., Warwick, RI 02886. Interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston will be private. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
