EDITH ADELE (VADNAIS) LAMOUREUX

LAMOUREUX, EDITH A. (VADNAIS) 88, of Coventry, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the Riverview Healthcare Community. She was the beloved wife of Donat L. Lamoureux for 68 years. Born in Providence, RI she was the daughter of the late Herve and Rosalba (Despres) Vadnais. 

Edith, and her husband Donat, established D & L Service Inc. of Coventry in 1964. They operated the company for 42 years before retiring. Edith was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great -grandmother. When her three children were enrolled at the former Notre Dame Parochial School in West Warwick, Edith was a member and a past president of the Mothers Club at the school.

Edith enjoyed many summers boating on Johnson’s Pond in Coventry, and also riding motorcycles with her husband for many years.

Edith was the mother of Diane M. Gervasio and her husband Robert, David D. Lamoureux and his wife Pam, all of Coventry, and Donna E. Boger of Birmingham, Alabama, She was the grandmother of  Aliesha Piche, Meaghan Brienzi, Anthony R. Gervasio, Chelsea Stinemetz, Sierra Lamoureux, Dr. Nickolas Gervasio, Erica Harrington, SSG US ARMY Cory Lamoureux, and Amie Garland. Edith is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours are Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with a Funeral Service at 6:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (I95/Exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry. A Memorial reception will follow at Jogues Club, 184 Boston St., Coventry, RI.
