EDITH F. (Plante) LAVOIE

LAVOIE, Edith F. (Plante), 94, formerly of Providence St., West Warwick, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Roberts Health Center in North Kingstown.  She was the wife of the late Leo Joseph Lavoie.

Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Conrad and Bernadette (Charpentier) Plante.

Edith was an Assistant Manager at the Alpine Country Club in Cranston during the 1960’s and then Manager of the Crestwood Country Club in Rehoboth, MA in the 1970’s.  Edith was a big Red Sox fan who enjoyed playing cards, bingo, cooking, spending time with her friends, being a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society at St. John the Baptist and knitted over 800 Prayer Shawls for SS. John & Paul Church, but most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Phil Lavoie and his wife Dawn of Coventry, Maurice Lavoie and his wife Margaret of Coventry, Richard Lavoie and his wife Cindie of Palm Coast, FL and Dennis Lavoie and his wife Lorraine of West Warwick; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions in place, her Funeral Mass and Burial will be private for the family.  Visiting hours and flowers respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907 would be appreciated.
