JONES, Eleanor “Joyce” (Grimes) (Mouchon), (84), formerly of Sun City Center, FL, and Worcester, MA, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2020 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester, MA.
Born in West Warwick, RI on August 2, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and M. Edna (Gingras) Grimes. After living in West Warwick for many years, she moved to Sun City Center in Florida where she lived for 27 years. She spoke fondly of her time in Florida where she was famous for her sunny disposition and full social calendar. Joyce was always ready to dance a jitterbug, go bowling or have a card game.
She was married for 25 years to the late George C. Mouchon with whom she had three children, Ronald, Robin and Richard. She is survived by Robin Foley and her husband Jack of Worcester, MA and Richard Mouchon and his wife Anna of Coventry; her daughter-in-law Karleen Mouchon, wife of the late Ronald Mouchon; grandchildren, Tim Hiles, Brian, Lindsay and Mara Foley, Sara and James Mouchon, Julie Ferland, Emily Morrison, Kayla Miner and Justin Boss; five great-grandchildren, Darrius Thurston, Christopher and Charles Ferland, Owen Foley and Mason Miner; and many nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Arthur W. Jones. She was the youngest sister of George E. Grimes, Roberta M. Pelletier, Elizabeth G. Bruneau, Patricia A. Gleason, E. Shirley (Bruneau) Massaro and Joseph R. Grimes, Jr., all of whom predeceased her. She is survived by her longtime partner Bob Fahey of Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be private.
Due to the pandemic the services will be streamed live at twitch.tv/virtualattendance2020 beginning at 10am on Thursday, October 15th. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
