ELENA ANNE "ELLIE" BENOIT

BENOIT, ELENA ANNE, “ELLIE” , 68, a lifelong resident of Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at the Riverview Healthcare Community in Coventry.  Born in Cambridge, England, she was the daughter of the late Lionel A. and Rose A. (Lancellotta) Benoit. 

Elena attended the J. Arthur Trudeau Center for many years. She loved cats, Christmas and Santa Claus, traveling to Disney World, taking ocean cruises, camping and spending time with family. Elena enjoyed a warm plate of macaroni and a hot cup of coffee. She will be surely missed by all.

She was the niece of Helen St. Germain of Coventry. Elena also leaves her cousins Diane L. Marchessault of West Warwick and Joyce St. Germain of Connecticut.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington St., Coventry, RI. Interment at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter will be private, where she will be laid to rest with her parents. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted, memorial donations to The Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH 03104.
