ESTELLA R. BENNETT

BENNETT, ESTELLA “Stella” R., 95, of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 with her loving family by her side at the West View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, West Warwick. 

Born in Coventry, Estella was a daughter of the late Charles Walter and Estella R. (Bonneau) Bennett.  

Always a woman of strong faith, Stella was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to anyone she may have met. She enjoyed singing, going country line dancing, cooking meals for her loved ones, and endless cups of coffee. Above all, Stella will be remembered for her sassy and spunky sense of humor and her unconditional love for her family and friends.   

She was the loving mother of Robin L. Bennett of Coventry, Allen Van Leeuwen of West Warwick, and the late Steven R. Bennett. Grandmother of Kailley Marillo, Ashley Bennett; great grandmother of Lyla Cimaglia, Isabella Marillo, Charlotte Marillo, and Maeve Marillo. Stella was the sister of the late Walter Bennett (Arline Bennett-Brusby), Ernest Bennett, and Ruth Bennett. She is also survived by Susan and Birt Lyttle, Carol Bennett, and many other dear nieces and nephews.  

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (NOON) with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:00 PM (NOON) in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (ROUTE 3), Coventry, RI. Burial with committal prayers to follow at Knotty Oak Cemetery, Coventry.
