EVELYN S. (SCOTT) ANDERSON

ANDERSON, EVELYN S. (SCOTT), 92, of Rathbun Street, Coventry, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 7, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth R. Anderson. Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Ellis) Scott.

Evelyn was employed for over 23 years at the Centreville Bank in Coventry before retiring in 2002. She was a true animal lover. Evelyn enjoyed the companionship of her pet cats.  Evelyn routinely fed the birds, squirrels, the occasional raccoon, and other woodland creatures in her yard. Evelyn also enjoyed traveling to Europe twice, as well as embarking on an Alaskan Cruise, among many other trips.

Evelyn was the mother of Kenneth S. Anderson of Woonsocket, Guy R. Anderson (Kathy) of Richmond, Lori J. Anderson of Coventry, Gail L. Lyons (late Robert Lyons) of Coventry, Paul R. Anderson (Teresa) of Bremerton, Washington, and the late Stephen J. Anderson (late Rita Anderson) of Coventry. Evelyn is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren with one more on the way. Evelyn was the sister of the late Charles Scott, Horace A. Scott, and the late Lillian Welshman.

Evelyn will be sorely missed. She was cared for and adored by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

To honor Evelyn’s wishes, services will be private. A Celebration of Evelyn’s life will be held on a later date.
