RITAROSSI JR., FAUST A., 78, of Coventry, passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 8, 2021. Faust was the husband of Geraldine A. (Ranallo) Ritarossi for 57 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Faust A. and Rose (Lanzi) Ritarossi.
Faust graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from Bryant College and served in the Army National Guard. Faust was a Dispatcher and Office Manager for A. Cardi Construction in Coventry for over 20 years. He later was an Estimator in the Heavy Construction Industry before retiring. Faust was also a Catechism Teacher for many years at Saints John and Paul Church. He was a 50 year member of the FOP.
He loved to spend time with his Family, Friends and especially his Grandchildren. He attended the many school and sporting events they participated in. He was always there cheering them on.
He was an avid fan of New England professional sports. To many people he was a generous and supportive Friend. He enjoyed reading, taking walks and of course, fine dining.
He was the father of Stephen M. Ritarossi and his wife Kelly of Coventry, Gina M. Vestuti and her husband Ralph of Charlotte, NC, and Melissa A. Morvillo and her husband Todd of North Kingstown.
Faust was the Proud Grandfather of Chelsie, Amanda, Briana, Ryan, Nicole and Rachel. He was the brother of Louis Ritarossi of East Greenwich.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11:00 am in Saints John & Paul Church, 341 South Main St., Coventry. Face masks and social distance must be observed. Inurnment at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or www.dana-farber.org/gift or Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
