Frances G. (Kowal) Salvas, 97, of Coventry, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022. Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Wladyslaw and Mary (Partyka) Kowal. Frances was the loving wife of the late Roger Salvas for 71 years.
Frances was employed as a Purchasing Administrative Assistant for 30 years at Trifari Jewelry. Fran and Roger were one of the original parishioners of Saints John and Paul Church since 1955. Fran was a past president of the Rosary Altar Society. For over 64 years Fran, the cookie lady, worked at the annual Christmas Bazaar creating the famous Cookie Table. Frances was a member of the Orchard Lake Seminary Ladies Organization, sponsoring seminarians from Poland. Fran’s family, friends, and church became most important in her life. She always had a warm and friendly smile for everyone. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
She was the mother of Raymond (the late Sharon) Salvas, Elaine (Edward) Blais, and Peter (Jean) Salvas. Grandmother of 7; great-grandmother of 11l great-great grandmother of 4. She was the sister of John Kowal of Mississippi and the late Rose Kinder, Stasia Nyzio, Wanda Ritchie, Stephen, Frank, Frederick, and Edward Kowal.
Her funeral will be Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 10:00am from the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (95/Exit 6/Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am in Saints John and Paul Church, Coventry. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours are Tuesday evening, June 14, 2022 from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Saints John and Paul Church, 341 S.
