FRANCES "FRAN" R. (COLICCHIO) PADULA

PADULA (COLICCHIO), FRANCES R. “Fran”, 95, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of her devoted family on Friday, April 3, 2026. She was the beloved wife of 71 wonderful years to the love of her life, Angelo A. Padula Sr., who predeceased Fran in 2022. 

Born in West Warwick, Fran was a daughter of Carlo and Rosaria (DiFiore) Colicchio. 

A lifelong resident of West Warwick, Fran graduated from West Warwick High School and then went to work as a Bookkeeper at the former Valley Furniture for many years. She then went on to work alongside her husband, running the daily operations of Angelo Padula & Son Autoparts and Sales Inc. 

Throughout her life, Fran was involved in countless organizations throughout the Town of West Warwick. With her husband Angelo Sr., Fran coached Girls Softball teams in West Warwick and East Greenwich for over 30 years. Above all, Fran loved her family. She always enjoyed hosting family meals and truly cherished time spent together. Fran’s feisty spirit, sense of humor, and her love of her community will truly be missed by all who knew her. 

Fran was the loving mother of Angelo A. Padula Jr., his wife Penny, and Carlene Marchessault, her husband Steven, all of West Warwick, RI. Fran was the adoring grandmother of Ashley Hughes, Brittany Hughes, Zachary Padula, and Nichole Marchessault. Fran was the dear sister of the late Joseph Colicchio and Carlo A. Colicchio. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. 

Calling hours will be held Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (RTE 117), Coventry. A Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 PM. Burial is respectfully private. 

The Padula family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Beacon Hospice and members of the West Warwick Fire Department for their care and support throughout these past months.
