FRANCIS "FRANK" PALOMBO Obituary

PALOMBO, FRANCIS D. “Frank”, 87, passed away at home on Saturday, October 19, 2024. He was the loving husband of 51 years to Gloria A. Palombo.

A self taught man, he was the epitome of hard work and the embodiment of that which you were inspired to be. Frank was an avid hunter in his younger years, and also enjoyed fishing. Known for his ingenuity, there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. From driving trucks across the country, to the days of working on garbage trucks at Sopranos, Capuano, and Waste Management, to the days of driving dump trucks again and fixing them and  machines for his sons, to cars, and leaky faucets for anyone who needed a hand, he enjoyed what he did, and his passion was evident even in his efforts to teach the next generation.

Up until the week of his death, he continued to work his trades and made use of his endless tools and amazing garage space. Always eager to stay busy, he spent his last days working in his garage building benches and ensuring one more memory of him would remain with his children.

With a creative and caring mind and heart, Frank gave the best of himself many times over, even when he didn't need to. A perfectly imperfect and humble man, who will be missed by many.

With love in his heart, a cigar in his mouth, and stories and memories to share, he brought joy and kindness to many throughout his life.

Though he was loved by many, and loved many in return, his greatest love of all was his wife, Gloria, who he has reunited with for eternity. May they both rest in peace together and know that they will be forever loved.

Francis is survived by his children, sons John Langford, Michael Langford and his wife Andrea, Steven Langford, Anthony Langford, and Brian Palombo and his wife Tracy, and his daughter Bridget Palombo Sarlo, and her husband Francisco. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and others who called him Dad, Pops, or Uncle Frank.
