Frank Bianco Jr., 86, of Coventry, RI sadly passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 5th, 1938, to Frank Bianco Sr. and Margaret (LaPolla) Bianco. Frank was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who brought joy to all who knew him.
Frank shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Maureen. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes his children, Frank Bianco III (Mari), Thomas (Marissa) Bianco, and Leeanne (Jason) Marsocci. He was a devoted "Poppy" to his grandchildren, Alicia (Brendan) Aceto, Frank (Alicia) Bianco IV, Orry Bianco, Jason (JJ) Marsocci, and Sophia Bianco as well as his great grandchildren, Bella Bianco, Millie Aceto, and Ariana Bianco. Frank was the brother of Gloria Russo of Johnston, Ronald Bianco of Providence, and the late Alice Tammelleo.
His career was marked by dedication and hard work, spending 18 years at Bulova Watch Co. However, his true entrepreneurial passion started when he became the owner of DePetrillo’s Pizza of Coventry, a beloved community establishment, for over 34 years. Frank was known for his generosity with local schools and churches and his friendly nature with local patrons.
Frank was an avid sports enthusiast. A loyal Red Sox fan. He played baseball in his earlier years and developed a lifelong passion for golf. His love for sports extended beyond playing, as he served in the RI Football Association as a referee and RI Baseball League as an umpire for high school sports and local youth leagues.
Above all, Frank will be remembered for his devotion to his family. His love and dedication were constants in the lives of those he cherished. He showed this everyday, in so many ways. “Poppy," your family will always love you to the moon and back, and your memory will forever bring comfort to those who loved you.
A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd.,(I95/EXIT18/RTE.3) Coventry. Visiting hours are Friday evening, December 27, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
