FRANKLIN L. ADESSO, 87, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. He was the loving husband of nearly 65 years to Lillian C. (Calci) Adesso.
Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, Franklin was a son of the late Franklin and Virginia (Leonard) Adesso.
Raised in Warwick, Franklin worked as a Commercial Truck Driver for UPS for over three decades where he was a proud member of the General Teamsters Local 251. He enjoyed time spent with his wife, Lillian, whether travelling or camping throughout New England. Always a hardworker, in his free time Frank enjoyed the sport of Horse Racing and watching Western films. He will truly be missed.
Besides his beloved wife, Lillian, Franklin is survived by his loving children, Franklin Adesso Jr., his partner Pamela Lavoie, of Coventry, RI and Dawn M. O’Connor, her partner Stephen McNally, of Narragansett, RI. Grandfather of Michael O’Connor, his wife Jessica O'Connor and Allison O’Connor, her partner Adam Comira ; great grandfather of Hunter, Blake, and Ashlyn.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, April 27, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., Coventry, with a Funeral Service to begin at 10:30 AM. Burial with Committal Prayers at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Greenwich is respectfully private. Arrangements by the Iannotti Funeral Home.
