FREDERICK E. SENECAL

SENECAL, FREDERICK E., 80, of Warwick, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 9, 2025. He was the loving husband of nearly 58 years to Carol (Simoli) Senecal. 

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Frederick E. Senecal Sr. and Doris L. (Rooney) Senecal. 

Before his retirement, Fred worked for over 34 years as a Machine Technician at the former General Electric Base Plant in Providence. He was a lifelong fan of all sports and especially loved watching and rooting for the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. He particularly enjoyed playing golf. Above all, Fred’s witty sense of humor and deep love for his family will be greatly missed. 

Besides his loving wife, Carol, Fred is survived by his children, Kevin Senecal, his wife Robin, of Quinebaug, CT and Jessica Paul of North Kingstown. Loving Pa of Jacob Paul, Ethan Paul, and Vincent Senecal. Fred was the brother of Robert T. Senecal, John Senecal and his wife Yolanda of Arizona, and the late Thomas H. Senecal, Stephen G. Senecal, Paul E. Senecal, and Bernard M. “Bernie” Senecal. Fred is also survived by many dear nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (Route 117), Coventry. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 3rd Street, East Greenwich. Burial at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.
