FREDERICK "FRED" C. REYNOLDS

REYNOLDS, FREDERICK C. Jr., 64, of Coventry, passed away at home on Friday, September 27, 2024. He was the loving husband of 36 years to Linda (Lawson) Reynolds. 

Born July 8, 1960 in Warwick, he was a son of the late Frederick C. Sr. and Mildred L. (Shute) Reynolds. 

A lifelong resident of Coventry, Fred graduated from Coventry High School Class of 1979.

Following graduation Fred started working at Northern Industries Inc., Coventry, where he referred to himself as the “Batchmaker”. Fred was the Senior Manager there for 46 years.

Fred had many interests throughout his life.  After meeting Sensei Gowdy, he immersed himself in East Asian Culture. His special interest became his lifestyle. Fred began studying Martial Arts, and received his Black Belt in Jiu Jitsu. Fred was fascinated by Asian culture, later taking to the art of Bonsai. 

In his later years, Fred took interest in antiquities, restoration, and reclaiming. His homestead in Coventry was his pride, often calling it “Ponderosa”. A true tinkerer, Fred always had a new project he was working on. Fred will be remembered for his selflessness, patience, humility, and unbound love for his family. 

Loving father of Andrew and Morgan Reynolds; adoring grandfather of Bella Reynolds. Brother of Elaine F. Reynolds, of Coventry, Mary L. Reynolds-Devolve, her husband Richard, of Norton, MA, and Anna Mattoni, her husband Edward, of Coventry. Dear uncle to several nieces and nephews. Fred will be missed by many friends, extended family members and past students.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home AT MAPLE ROOT, 2000 NOOSENECK HILL ROAD (ROUTE 3), COVENTRY. Funeral Service at 12:30 PM. Burial is respectfully private.
