GEORGE WILLIAM DARELIUS

DARELIUS, GEORGE W., 69, of Claremore, Oklahoma,  received a calling from The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit on August 25, 2018. There was a golf tournament at St. Peter’s Country Club. George accepted for two reasons; First was his love of our Lord Jesus Christ and of course his passion for golf. He leaves behind the love of his life, Geraldine Zuba Darelius, whom he wed in 1971. An awesome dad to his two apples, one for each eye, daughters Dina Morgan and her husband Benjamin of Summerville, South Carolina, and Erica Darelius and Kriss Carrol of More, North Carolina. Poppy as known to his grandchildren, Caleb, Connor, and Every Morgan. He also leaves two broken hearted brothers Jeffery and his favorite Joel. George has joined his parents Harvey G. and Roberta M. (Dwyer) Darelius in the afterlife.

George was a United States Marine Corp veteran and saw duty in the Vietnam Conflict. He proudly enlisted with 11 friends from his home town, Coventry, RI. He Had a successful career with American Airlines Aircraft maintenance retiring in 2008. In retirement George and Gerri split the years between their homes in Claremore, OK., and the family compound in Ormond-By-The-Sea, FL. 

A family man in every sense, his other love was golf. George had 18 aces over a long golf adventure. While spending 40 years in the mid-west, he maintained his love for the local sports teams in New England. 

A homecoming service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, where full military honors will be held. Friends and family are asked to congregate by the administration buildings to the right, as you enter the cemetery.
