GIUSTI, GEORGE L. 76, a longtime resident of Coventry, passed away just how he would have wanted; without any fanfare or fuss on Saturday, November 29, 2025. George was the loving husband of 58 years to Margaret A. “Margie” (Cervini) Giusti, and a supportive father to Tina Diggle (Howard), John Giusti (Bethany), and Toni Brouillard (Pierre). He was also the adoring Papa to eleven grandchildren and proud great-grandfather to four with three more on the way.
George was born to the late George J. and Antonetta (Petrarca) Giusti on June 5, 1949 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Providence, RI. He was also the brother of the late Saverio “Sav” Giusti. Much like the large family he would cherish later on, staying close to those he loved was paramount in George’s life. He was involved with many different local businesses and always supported those he knew could benefit from his help. His friends, family, and the community will feel his insurmountable loss.
Growing up in the Westcott section of West Warwick cemented his love for the neighborhood. He would eventually build and reside there until settling on Johnson’s Pond in 1983. Not long after moving to Johnson’s Pond the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show began under his direction. It became a family-operated event under his guidance. One would hear far and wide about how amazing and elaborate each year’s show would be to which George would just smile whilst planning the next one.
He was a humble man, handsome, with perfect comedic timing. George was welcoming to all, especially animals. He touched so many hearts with all of his endeavors: Geo’s Cafe, Villa di Giorgio, The Laundromat, The Greenroof Garden Center, Geo’s Custom Cycles, and Savario’s Restaurant to name a few. George mastered anything he set his mind to whether it be building homes or motorcycles, teaching the younger generations all his specialties, or just loving a large and growing family so effortlessly.
