GEORGE R. WILKINSON

WILKINSON, GEORGE R. Jr., 68, of Coventry, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday, June 16, 2025 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. 

Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, George was a son of the late George R. and Marie Rosalie Adele (Williams) Wilkinson. 

Early in his life, George’s family relocated to Westerly, Rhode Island, before moving to the city of Providence, where George graduated from Hope High School with multiple scholarships from many notable colleges for multiple sports. George was passionate about his family over athletics. George had several experiences throughout several trades. In his spare time, he enjoyed the thrill of gaming and loved to wager on sports and the Rhode Island Lottery’s Daily Numbers. He loved to collect trading cards, jewelry, coins and was very passionate about writing and poetry. George loved to also play the guitar in his spare time. Above all things, time spent with his friends and family is what George cherished most.  George adored his children but most importantly, his grandchildren. 

George was the loving father of Amanda Wilkinson-LaPearl, her husband Kevin, and the loving father of  Dylan Robert Wilkinson, all of Coventry. He was the adoring grandfather of McKenzi, Delilah, Karter, and Lillianna. George was the brother of Deborah Wilkinson, Roger Wilkinson, Ronald Wilkinson, Treasure Wilkinson, Warren Wilkinson, and Delonida Ashby.
