GERARD "GERRY" W. RATTE

RATTÉ, GERARD W. “Gerry”, 92, of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Kent Hospital, Warwick with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of 73 years to Barbara A. (Kostecki) Ratté.

Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Ovila and Albina (Ouellett) Ratté.

Gerry proudly served his Country in the United States Air Force. Upon his Honorable Discharge, Gerry then began his career for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in 1956. Before his retirement in 1990, Gerry was the recipient of many awards and accommodations for his performance. With a refined palate, Gerry had a taste for gourmet foods such as potato chips and ice cream. His sense of humor will surely be missed.   

Gerard was the father of Sandra A. Perry, her significant other Don DeLuca, Guy Ratté, his wife Nancy of Chepachet, and the late Craig G. Ratté. Grandfather of Jason Ratté (Laura), Kimberley Valente (Brian), Sean Perry, and Aaron Ratte’. Great grandfather of Penelope, Mason, Emma and Asher. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street, Route 117, Coventry followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry. Burial at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter is planned for a future date.
