BIANCO, GILDA (CABALLERO), 94, of Coventry, passed away at home unexpectedly on Sunday, May 21, 2023. She was the wife of the late Dominic Bianco and the late Leonard Douglas.
Born in New York City, New York, she was a daughter of the late Xavier and Rose (Silva) Caballero.
Mom worked for ConEd after High School until she married. As we were growing up, she became a crossing guard with the NYC Police Department. She later returned to ConEd to work in Accounts Payable eventually working into a supervisory position until she retired. Gilda enjoyed traveling, especially many trips to Puerto Rico and Mexico, and in later years, she loved to cruise.
She was the mother of Linda D. Bardi and her husband Dominick of Coventry, and Leonard Douglas and his wife Euthalia of Tamworth, New Hampshire. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Anthony Bardi, Steven Bardi and his wife Brianna, and Cassie Bardi and her fiance Jamie Enos. Gilda was the twin sister of the late Helen Rodiguez, and the sister of the late Helbert Caballero.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Saints John & Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry. Inurnment to follow at Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Tuesday evening, June 6, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (Rte. 3), Coventry.
