GLORIA ANN (ANDREWS) CARY

CARY, GLORIA ANN (ANDREWS), 78, of Coventry, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023.  Wife of the late Lawson M. Cary Jr., they were married for 45 years.  They were married on September 8, 1962.  They stuck together through thick and thin and loved each other for the rest of their lives.

Born in West Warwick, RI.  She was the daughter of the late Aubrey W. Andrews Sr. and the late Gladys E. Andrews (Northup).

She is survived by her son, Lawson M. Cary III.  She is sister to Kenneth L. Andrews and Robert L. Andrews both of West Greenwich, and a sister Betty Wells of Coventry.  She is preceded by an older sister Shirley Peck; an older brother Aubrey Andrews; a younger sister Carol and two younger brothers Harold Andrews and Donald Andrews.

Gloria worked for 37 years at Victor Electric Wire and Cable, in West Warwick, RI. She then worked another 13 years for Walgreens Drug Store.

Throughout her life she enjoyed baking cookies and pies.  She also enjoyed making many, many wedding cakes. Gloria had many other hobbies throughout her life, including ceramics, crochet, gardening and her favorite, Traveling!

All through her life she loved people and animals(big and small), but mostly she loved her family. 

She has now traveled to be greeted by those that have passed and to wait for those of us yet to make the journey.  You will be missed by all those that knew you until then.

A Funeral Service will be Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 9:45 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd.,(Rte.3) Coventry. Interment at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter. Visiting hours Wednesday evening 4 -7 pm. iannottifh.com
