HELEN M. ARROYO

ARROYO, HELEN M., 75, passed away peacefully at Riverview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Coventry on Saturday, August 31, 2024. She was the beloved wife of nearly 50 years to the late Juan Arroyo. 

Born in Providence, Rhode Island she was a daughter of the late Joseph T. and Helen (Pojda) Landry. 

Helen grew up in Coventry, Rhode Island and was a member of the 1967 graduating class of Coventry High School. She worked for many years at the former Victor Electric as an Assembler, manufacturing wire and cable used throughout the world. Her favorite pastimes were working on antique cars 

and attending the shows for 1955-1957 Chevrolets, which they had won many awards.  Helen was also a longtime lover of music and supported  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a charity very dear to her heart. 

She was the loving mother of the late Erik Arroyo; Sister of Robert Landry of Texas. Helen is also survived by many dear friends and extended loving family members. 

In honor of Helen’s lifelong love of animals, contributions made in her memory to the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA.ORG) would be appreciated.
