HELEN MARIE (POPINSKI) GAWLIK

GAWLIK, HELEN M. (POPINSKI), 66, of Creighton Place, Coventry, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, surrounded by her loving family, at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the wife of 26 years to Stephen M. Gawlik and the mother of Gregory M. Gawlik of Coventry and Ashley M. Gawlik of Warwick. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Mary (Migala) Popinski.

Helen graduated from West Warwick High School in 1971. She was an administrator for the RI Department of Health and Human Services in Cranston for over 22 years. Helen later was a school bus operator for the Laidlaw and First Student Bus Co. in the Coventry School System for fifteen years before retiring. Helen enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flower gardens.

She was the sister of Theresa Amaral, Lucy Popinski and the late Margie Popinski.

Visiting will be Saturday morning, June 6, 2020 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am in the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rte.117) Coventry, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church.
