BOYLE JR., HENRY J. “HANK” 73, of Matteson Rd., Coventry, passed away at Kent Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, February, 8, 2020. He was the husband of Theresa I. (Lamothe) Boyle for 47 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Henry J. and Helen (Cournoyer) Boyle.
After graduating from High School, Henry served in the US Navy as a submarine sonar technician during the Vietnam War. Henry was employed in the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Union Local 1 for over 50 years before retiring. He belonged to the Midstate Gun Club, the Wincheck Gun Club, and the Phenix Sportsmen’s Club.
He was the father of Aron M. Boyle and his wife Christine, Debra Y. DaRocha and her husband Steven, all of Coventry, and the late Patrick S. Boyle and Ronnie R. Studley. Henry is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A Committal Service with Military Honors will be Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 12:30 pm at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail in Exeter. Relatives and friends may assemble at 12:15 pm by the administrative buildings at the main entrance of the Cemetery. At Henry’s request, visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted, memorial donations to the American Lung Association ( www.lung.org ) would be appreciated.
