HENRIKSEN, HENRY F. JR., 77, of Coventry, passed away unexpectedly at Kent Hospital in Warwick.
He was the devoted and loving husband of 36 years to Deborah (Paliotti) Henriksen.
Born in Providence, Henry was the son of the late Henry F. Henriksen and Sarah (Underwood) Henriksen. A lifelong Rhode Islander, he spent his early years in Providence, later residing in Warwick before ultimately making his home in Coventry.
Known for his outgoing personality and natural charisma, Henry was affectionately referred to by many as the “Mayor of Warwick.” His warm spirit and friendly nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Henry possessed a strong work ethic from an early age and held various positions throughout his life. He dedicated the majority of his professional career to working as an Auto Body Technician with the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA), where he faithfully served for 40 years. His commitment and skill earned him the respect of both colleagues and friends.
Outside of work, Henry was an avid history enthusiast who enjoyed antiquing and discovering treasures from the past. A true automobile lover, he especially enjoyed driving his Corvette and his Ram Rebel around town and engaging with his community. Above all, Henry treasured the time he spent with his family. He found his greatest joy in being with those he loved, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Henry is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah; his three daughters; his son-in-law and grandson; his sister Joan, and extended family, all of whom will deeply miss his unwavering love, strength, and generous spirit. His legacy of warmth, humor, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
