COVENTRY- Harold F. “Hank” Behm, Jr., 79, of Coventry, passed away on Saturday, January 1st, 2022, at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. He was the devoted husband to the love of his life, Lesley L. (Robinson) Behm.
Born on April 13, 1942, in Providence, he was one of seven children born to the late Harold F. Behm, Sr. and Laura (Pierce) Behm.
A proud and patriotic man, Hank was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War Era. He had the duty of being a Radio Relay Operator and over the course of his three years of service to the country he loved, he was honorably discharged with the rank of SP4.
Hank was self-employed as an owner and operator of his own painting and contracting company. He was known by his customers for possessing a strong work ethic and always doing a wonderful job.
In his spare time, Hank enjoyed fishing, travelling, going on cruises, and taking photos. He was an avid NASCAR fan and New England sports fan, with his favorite teams being the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Bruins. Above all, Hank was most happy when he was in the presence of and making memories with his dear family.
In addition to his wife, Hank is survived by his three proud sons: Scott H. Behm and his wife Monique, Todd W. Behm and his wife Kindle, and Brent R. Behm and wife Debra; his six grandchildren: Briana, Scott, Jr., Nicholas, Stacey, Abbigail, Aleck; his four great-grandchildren: Addilyn, Justin, Braxton, Raelynn; his siblings: Barbara Viveiros, Veronica Lake, Joan Smith, Diane Duclos, and Kevin Behm; and also many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Hank is predeceased by his sister: Linda Dwyer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Hank’s memorial visitation on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 4pm-7pm at IANNOTTI FUNERAL HOME AT MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rt.3), Coventry.
A short period of visitation will be continued on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the funeral home, from 10:30am-11:30am. Entombment with US Army Honors will be held at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter at 12:30pm.
