Jackie M. Carpenter-Desjarlais, 42, born on March 17,1980 in Providence, RI to the late Richard (Pappy) E. Desjarlais and Joann (Fisher) Desjarlais died unexpectedly June 11,2022.
She leaves behind the love of her life Charles Carpenter whom she absolutely adored like no other, her pride and joy, best friend and daughter Deanna, son-in-law David and granddaughter Kensley Castaldi.
In addition, she also leaves behind her sister Stacy Bates and husband Christopher, brother Richard Desjarlais and spouse Amanda, brother and sister in laws: Jacob and Crystal Carpenter and Riley Trinkwald. She was the cherished Aunt to Morgan, Alexis, Aleesa, new addition Natalie, Brendon, TJ, Marcus and the late Jared.
Jackie lived a very loved life, that was surrounded by family and friends that meant the world to her. She cherished accompanying Charles out on the water for fishing or just catching some sun, she also enjoyed crafts, bingo, or sneaking off to the casino. Holidays, especially Halloween will forever be her favorite to decorate, dress up, and just laugh with friends and family. But above all Jackie’s love of her granddaughter will forever be unbreakable.
Watching her sing, dance and just grow was the highlight of her days, that will eternity be missed.
While Jackie’s family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember Jackie in a way that honors her spirit. Her love, Charles and daughter Deanna invite family and friends to join them in a Celebration of Life Ceremony/Memorial on Saturday June 25th from 1:00-6:00pm at the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 29 South Main Street, Coventry, RI, in honor of Jackie. It will be casual. The last thing she would want is everyone dressing up for her as she hated dressing up herself and was happiest in a T-shirt and jeans. Thank you all for your support during this time.
