Obituary

FAGUE, JAMES A., 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at the Respiratory & Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island, Coventry while surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Catherine (Randall) Fague.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Chester and Alice (Winsor) Fague.

James served his country in the United States Navy. After retiring from the US Navy in 1974. James worked in many capacities at General Dynamics: Electric Boat, Quonset for twenty years. He also enjoyed umpiring Softball, the game of baseball, and crafting/flying model airplanes. In addition he was an avid fan of NASCAR, Sci Fi and war movies.

James was the loving father of James A. Fague Jr. of Coventry, RI, and Debbie Clune of Warwick, RI. He was the grandfather of Monica L. Fague and Jacqueline Clune: great grandfather to Gisele and Sebastian Semper, Harper Barcelos and James P. Fague. He was the brother of Chettie Fague of Foster, RI.

Funeral services and military funeral honors at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter, RI, are respectfully private.
