JAMES HOLIHEN Obituary

HOLIHEN, JAMES J., 64, of West Warwick, passed away at home on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late  John F. and Phyllis (Pendleton) Holihen.

A lifelong resident of Coventry, James graduated from Coventry High School in 1978 and then went on to work for Hoechst Chemical, Coventry for 15 years. He then went on to earn his Journeyman License as a Pipefitter in the Local Union.

In his free time, he enjoyed being with his friends and family. When he wasn’t showering his grandchildren with gifts, he was performing card tricks for them and was always making them laugh. Above all, James will be remembered for always helping others and never expecting anything in return.

James was the loving father of Allyson Holihen, her husband Jared McLaughlin, of West Warwick, and Aimee Holihen, her significant other Steven Spagnolo, of Coventry. Grandfather of William Correia IV, Shanna Correia, Thomas McLaughlin, and Anthony McLaughlin. Brother of Christopher A. Holihen, his wife Amy, of Blackstone, MA, and the late John S. Holihen and Mark W. Holihen.  He was the loving uncle of Kelly Holihen. He was the former husband of Janice Holihen Theroux.
