JAMES LAFLEUR Obituary

LA FLEUR, JAMES H., 83, of West Greenwich, passed away at the Hope Health Hospice in Providence on Sunday, April 27, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Linda (Phillips) LaFleur for 49 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Emile and Grace (May) LaFleur.

After attending high school, James went on to a dedicated 40 year career as a bus driver with the former Bonanza Bus Lines before retiring in 2009. He especially enjoyed driving passengers on many tours with the Collette Travel Tours Company. James also served as President and Vice President of ATU Local 1363.

James was an accomplished horseman. As a young boy, he would ride his horse from the Arctic area in West Warwick to Lake Mishnock and back. James would proudly participate riding his horse in the parades held in the Arctic area over the years. James and Linda shared a strong love of horses. They loved traveling throughout New England to horse shows with their family. James also served on the board of directors of the Connecticut Quarter Horse Association.

He was the father of Jamie L. Morgan and her husband James, and their children Kehlan and Paxton Morgan of Hamshire, TX, Julie LaFleur of Jamaica Plain, MA, and James LaFleur and his children Nicholas, Alex, Heaven, and Adelina LaFleur of North Kingstown. James was the brother of the late Emile LaFleur.

To honor James' wishes, Funeral Services will be private. Memorial donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children (www.shrinerschildrens.org) or Hope Health Hospice, 1085 North Main St., Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated. Arrangements are with the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root in Coventry. iannottifh.com
