JAMES P. MITCHELL JR.

MITCHELL, JAMES P. Jr., 37, of West Warwick, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025.  

Born in Providence, he was a son of James P. Mitchell Sr. and the late Kathleen Gallagher.  

James attended Cranston East High School and worked for many years in the construction field as a laborer for the Laborers’ Local 271. Always a hard worker, James also spent many years travelling the country working in the over-the-road trucking industry. 

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Emma Rosenberg; his longtime girlfriend, Kayla Rosenberg. James was the loving brother of Autumn Mitchell, Emily Kelly, Darrin Gallagher, Ava Gallagher, and Brooke Gallagher. He is also survived by his dear nephew, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry, RI 02816. A Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 PM. Burial is respectfully private.
