JAMES "Jim" CROSSLEY Jr. Obituary

CROSSLEY, JAMES H. Jr., “Jim”, 73, of Coventry, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 2, 2024, after a brief illness.  He was the longtime partner of Jane B. Tyler.  

 

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James H. Crossley and Dorothy Partington Crossley. 

 

A graduate of Roger Williams University, Jim worked for many years as a Manager at MetLife Auto & Home, in Warwick. He enjoyed fly fishing and his adventures include a memorable trip to the Minipi watershed in Labrador in search of brook trout.   A lifelong musician, Jim was an accomplished guitarist. He and his family enjoyed many summers at Bonnet Shores Beach Club. 

 

Besides Jane, his partner of over 30 years, Jim is survived by his brothers, David P. Crossley and his wife Sue of North Kingstown, Robert W. Crossley of Narragansett, and a niece, Stephanie A. Crossley, of Woodbridge, Virginia. He is also survived by extended family members and many loving friends.   

 

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon at Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (Route 3), Coventry. 

 

In lieu of flowers, donations made in Jim’s memory to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank ( rifoodbank.org/donate ), would be appreciated.
