JANET NILL Obituary

COVENTRY- Janet B. Nill, 84, of Cranston, passed away on the morning of Friday, September, 16, 2022, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, surrounded by the love, comfort, and care of her family. She was the wife of the late William Nill. 

Born on October 26, 1937, in Providence, Janet was one of three children born to the late Irving and Beatrice (Davis) Buckley. She grew up in the Edgewood section of Cranston and attended Cranston Public Schools, graduating from Cranston High School with the Class of 1955.

Following high school and having a natural artistic ability and eye for detail, Janet decided to pursue a career in design, enrolling at the Swain School of Design in New Bedford. She transferred out of Swain to the School of Practical Art and Design in Boston, an institution from which she received her bachelor’s degree.

After receiving her degree, Janet worked in the design field. She spent time employed at Paramount Greeting Cards in Pawtucket where she designed cards and she also worked at Pritrpex Division, having the responsibility of designing scarves, dress, and blouses.

In her spare time, Janet enjoyed creating beautiful acrylic paintings and relaxing at the beach. Above all, treasured the time spent and memories made with her dear family, especially her grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her two children: Francisca Gonsalves and Christopher Hebel; her 5 grandchildren; and also, numerous extended family members.

Burial will be held privately at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
