JEAN MAE (GADOURY) FORLEO

FORLEO, JEAN M. (GADOURY) 93, of West Greenwich, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Kent Hospital. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Salvatore J. Forleo Jr. in 1996. Born and raised in West Warwick RI, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Anna (Sawyer) Gadoury. 

Jean graduated from West Warwick High School in 1950. Jean was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was employed for the West Warwick School System as a bus driver and later owned and operated the former Jeannie’s House of Ceramics until 1988. She then worked in food service at Coventry High School. She also was employed at the Coventry Resource and Senior Center teaching ceramic classes, as well as volunteering for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and pet dogs. Jean loved the serenity of bird watching and being outdoors in nature.

Jean was the mother of Steven J. Forleo and his wife Karen of West Greenwich. She was the grandmother of Ashley M. Forleo; and the great-grandmother of Justus Bailey and Gabriel Tevyaw. She was the sister of Richard Gadoury of Pennsylvania, and the late Leona Lantangue and Eileen Gadoury.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 12:15 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry.  Interment at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
