JEAN S. (Charron) TIDWELL

TIDWELL, Jean S. (Charron), 84, of Colvintown Road, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 29, 2020 at Kent Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of 62 ½ years to Paul C. Tidwell.

Born in Coventry, she was the beloved daughter of the late Archibald and Catherine (Charron) Tomasso.

Jean was a retired nurse who worked at the Louis Pasteur Building on Howard Avenue, Cranston, RI until she retired at age 63. Jean loved her family and friends and expressed that love in many ways.

She was always there for everyone she knew, both through the good times and the bad. She was a kind and generous woman who enjoyed hosting holiday dinners (and was famous for her chocolate trifle and biscotti). She loved to go shopping with her husband, Paul, as well as her sisters. Jean was artistically gifted and enjoyed creating various crafts. 

Aside from her husband, she leaves her children, Laurie Tougas of Coventry, and Paula White and her fiancé Peter Liberto of Johnston; her brother, Richard Charron and his wife Terri of Key Marathon, FL; three sisters, Evelyn Petrella of Kissimmee, Fl, Dorothy Paull of Coventry and Irene Traficante of West Warwick; three grandchildren, Michael Bullock, Lisa Caperton and Daniel Rutledge; one great-granddaughter, Samantha Bullock, her beloved friends, Saverio “Sav” and Barbara Guisti and their daughter Concetta Guisti Peikos, who was Jean’s Goddaughter, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also a sister of the late Alfred Charron, Florence D’Ambrosca and Annette Fort.
 

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington St. (Rte.117), Coventry.  Burial will be private.
