JEAN M. (GRADY) WALKER

WALKER, JEAN M., 80, of Coventry, passed away comfortably at home surrounded by her children and her beloved dog “Buddy” on Friday, July 11, 2025. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Jackie T. Walker, who predeceased her in 2021.

Born and raised in Providence, Jean was a daughter of the late Harold J. and Mary J. (Surtel) Grady. 

She loved spending time outdoors and was a lifelong animal lover. She liked to be out in nature and tending to her beautiful gardens. She also enjoyed working with her late husband, Jackie, at their antique store, “J.J. Walker Antiques” formerly in West Warwick. 

Jean leaves behind her two loving children, Loraine M. Coutu, her husband Bill, and Michael J. Walker, all of Coventry; grandmother of Autumn Walker. Jean was the sister of Maryann White, Joyce M. Silva, and the late Jim Grady, Hope E. Jose. Jean is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and her beloved canine companion, “Buddy”.

Committal Prayers will be held on Thursday,  July 17, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Those planning to attend are invited to gather by the administrative offices at the main entrance of the cemetery at 9:45 AM. Arrangements by the Iannotti Funeral Home.
