JERILYN G. COYNE

COYNE, JERILYN G., 76, of Coventry, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, October 20, 2023 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. She was the devoted and loving wife of John P. Coyne. 

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Martin L. and Gladys L. (Hopkins) Bazar. 

A natural born caregiver, Jerilyn worked for many years helping support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a Direct Support Professional for West Bay Residential. Jerilyn’s work with others has made an immeasurable positive impact on her community. In her free time, she enjoyed taking cruise vacations with her husband, taking trips shopping for clothes, trips to the casino, but above all, any time spent with family and friends was what Jerilyn cherished most. 

Jerilyn was the mother of Jeffrey T. Coyne Sr., John S. Coyne (Deborah). Grandmother of Jeffrey T. Coyne Jr. (Casey), Amber N. Coyne, Austin S. Coyne, and Andrew Cremona; great grandmother of Jackson T. Coyne. Sister of Carol P. Banks (Rick) and the late Steven Bazar. Jerilyn also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. 

Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM in the Iannotti Funeral Home, 415 Washington Street (ROUTE 117), Coventry. Immediately following visiting hours, burial and Committal Prayers to follow at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Jerilyn’s memory to HopeHealth Hospice (HopeHealthCo.org) would be appreciated.
