JILL ANGELA (BARBER) LEGAULT

Jill Angela (Barber) Legault, 62, of West Greenwich, a loving mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Riverview Nursing Home in Coventry.

Born in Warwick, RI on November 24, 1961, Jill was the beloved daughter of the late Paul E. Barber, Sr., MD and Josephine (Gregoire) Barber.  

Jill was raised in West Warwick and was a graduate of West Warwick High School, Class of 1979 and later attended the former Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill, MA.  She also studied at the University of Rhode Island.

Jill was employed as a Substance Abuse Counselor at Starr Recovery, currently AdCare, in North Kingstown for many years until retiring years ago due to illness.  She recently celebrated her twenty-second year of sobriety.  

Jill enjoyed a Dunkin Iced Coffee, watching the Boston Red Sox, knitting, crocheting, tanning and the beach.  She also cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Jill is survived by her beloved children:  Lucas P. Legault of Cranston, Lea J. Tourangeau and her husband, Seth of West Warwick, Joshua J. Plaziak of West Greenwich and Jacob R. Plaziak of Scituate; three brothers:  Greg Barber, John Barber and Paul E. Barber, Jr., all of East Greenwich; two sisters:  Claudia Greene of North Kingstown and Kim Barber of Marblehead, MA; and four cherished grandchildren:  Olivia Legault, Owen Tourangeau, Ezra Legault and Maclen Tourangeau.  She was also the former wife of Paul Legault of West Warwick.

Jill was the loving sister of the late Deborah Grandchamp and Heidi Austin.
