JODI M. BOURGOIN

BOURGOIN, JODI M.,40, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 after a courageous 16 year battle with Type 1 Diabetes.   

Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of Carol A. (Brown) Sheldon, husband David, and Phillip E. Bourgoin, and his companion Deborah Anderson. 

Jodi spent her career as a Phlebotomist working at medical offices, laboratories, and most recently at Kent Hospital in Warwick. She had a strong will and passion for comforting her patients. Even with her compromised health, Jodi cared for patients all throughout the Covid Pandemic. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and coworkers. To know her was to love her. 

Besides her parents, Jodi is survived by her two boys, who were the light of her life, Caden and Declan Geaber; Sister of Amy Butler. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Road (RTE 3), Coventry, RI 02816. A Funeral Service will begin at 6:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Jodi’s memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Greater New England (https://www.jdrf.org/donate) would be appreciated.
