JOHN J. RETTENMYER Jr.

RETTENMYER Jr., JOHN J., 68, of Coventry, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. 

Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John J. and Aileen F. (MacKay) Rettenmyer. 

John was raised in Providence and was a graduate of Bishop Hendricken High School Class of 1975 where he was an athlete competing in Cross-Country and track. He worked as a Shipper for the former C.J. Fox Paper Company in Providence for many years and spent time in his later years working at Perspectives Corporation, where he enjoyed assisting people with disabilities have a full life.  

He enjoyed spending time cheering on the Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots and loved tending to his garden. John will be remembered for his friendly disposition and making others laugh. He will truly be missed. 

John is survived by his brother Paul S. Rettenmyer, his companion Patricia J. Keenan, of Coventry. He was an  uncle of Jessica A. Turner (Ben) and Hayley J. Rettenmyer; Great Uncle to Clayton and Coltan Turner. 

Funeral Services are respectfully private. Arrangements are by the Iannotti Funeral Home.
