JOHN “JACK” JONES, 91, of Coventry, passed away at home on Monday, June 1, 2026. He was the loving husband of over 70 years to Irene D. (Lawrence) Jones.
Born in Cranston, Jack was a son of the late Charles H. and Sarah M. (Maynard) Jones.
Always having a strong work ethic, Jack was the longtime Owner and Operator of the former Sur-White Launderette. As a lifelong sportsman, Jack enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing, Women's Soccer, and was a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots. His sense of humor and natural talent for telling a great story will be missed by all who knew him.
He was the loving father of Cheryl Jones and the late John Jones Jr. Brother of the late Charles H. Jones Jr. and Lillian Ucci. Jack also leaves behind his dear niece Charlene Lamake; his neighbor and friend, Guy Moone and his family, and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, July 5, 2026 from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM in the Banquet Room at the Olde Theater Diner, 33 Sandy Bottom Road, Coventry. All are welcome. Burial is respectfully private. Arrangements are by the Iannotti Funeral Home.
