JON HAROLD SCHUMAN

SCHUMAN, JON H. (ret. Chief Petty Officer, USN), 62, of Reservoir Road, Coventry, passed at home surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, July 18, 2021. He was the husband of Dianne A. (DeAngelis) Schuman for 35 years. Born in Wyandotte, Michigan, he was a son of the late Melvin M. Schuman and the late Harriot (Overgaard) Robbins.

Jon was a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy serving his Country for over twenty years before retiring. Jon was stationed in Illinois, Panama City Beach, Florida, Camp Pendleton USMC Base in California, and retiring from the Newport, RI Naval Base. He enjoyed reading and writing.

He was the father of Erica N. Schuman, Connor D. Schuman, Jarod D. Schuman, all of Coventry, and the late Christopher J. Schuman. Jon was the brother of  David Schuman, Alice Schuman and Barbara Smith.

A Memorial Reception will be on Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (Rte.3) in Coventry. iannottifh.com
