DELFINO, JONATHAN J., 66, of Warwick and formerly of Coventry, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the Greenwood Health Center. He was a son of the late John A. and Claire R. (Rocheleau) Delfino.
As a young boy, Jonathan was very social and outgoing. He had a strong Catholic faith dedicatedly attending Mass at Saint John the Baptist where he served as an Altar Boy for many years. Jonathan was musically inclined. He was an accomplished accordion and acoustic and electric guitar player. He achieved Eagle Scout as a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He graduated from Coventry High School, class of 1977. He was a skilled Coventry Oakers football player. He went on to earn an Associate’s Degree from CCRI. Jonathan worked as a machinist for General Dynamics Electric Boat for several years, before his illness.
A true audiophile, Jonathan loved listening to Classic Rock music. He loved the companionship of his loyal dog “Teddy”. He also enjoyed driving his Cartier edition Lincoln Town Car.
Jonathan was the brother of Cathy A. Sliney and her husband Michael of Exeter, Craig J. Delfino CPA and his wife Fern of West Greenwich, and Lisa B. Delfino of North Kingstown. He was the uncle of Samantha, Tarah, Kate and Jack; and the great uncle of Lily, Lucy and Landon.
Visiting hours will be on Monday morning, August 18, 2025 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a Funeral Service at 11:00 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry. Interment at the Greenwood Cemetery in Coventry.
