AGUIAR, JOSEPH VICTOR, 75, of Wakefield St., West Warwick, and formerly of Coventry and East Providence, passed peacefully on Sunday, August 1, 2021. He was predeceased by his wife and the “Love of his life” Rosemarie A. (Pettiglio) in March of 2000. Born in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Barbara R. (Ferreira) Aguiar.
Joseph graduated from High School in Bristol, RI. He served in the National Guard. Joseph went on to earn several College degrees and achieved a Master’s Degree in Engineering from Roger Williams University in 1985. Joseph was employed as a Civil Engineer for several companies before retiring. He was a dedicated NY Yankees fan. He loved his pet dogs, playing fantasy sports, coaching his sons in Little League Baseball and also Cub Scouts, but most of all spending time with his four grandchildren he loving referred to as “The Gang”.
He was the father of Joseph Aguiar and his wife Denise and David Aguiar and his companion Roxanne all of Coventry. He was the grandfather of Elizabeth “Lizzy”, Andreas, Joseph and Sara.
A Visitation will be Friday morning, August 6, 2021 from 8:00 am to 9:30 am with a Service at 9:30 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd., (Rte.3) Coventry. Interment with military honors at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence.
