JOSEPH COTE Obituary

COTE, JOSEPH L., 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on Friday, September 20, 2024. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Linda Marie (Warner) Cote. Born in West Warwick, Joseph was a son of the late Louis and Doris (Hunt) Cote.

Joseph served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Always having a strong work ethic and a natural mechanical ability, Joseph spent his career as an automotive mechanic working throughout his entire life.

In his free time, he enjoyed taking family vacations to New Hampshire, scouring area yard sales, and trips hunting and fishing when he was a younger man. As a car enthusiast, Joe also loved taking rides in his beloved 1966 Ford Mustang.

He was the loving father of Todd Cote, his wife Nicole, of Coventry, and Troy Cote, his companion Erin Pomfret, of Coventry. Grandfather of Ashley Barbosa (Jordan), Matthew Cote (Jordyn), and Nate Cote. Brother of Louis Cote, his wife Lisa, Donna Wilson, and Marie Bernard, her husband Robert, all of Coventry.

Funeral Services and interment with Military Funeral Honors at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter is respectfully private. Arrangements by the Iannotti Funeral Home.

Always proud of his service and his country, contributions made in Joseph’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org) would be appreciated.
