JOSEPH J. POSILLO

WEST WARWICK- Joseph James Posillo, 70, of West Warwick, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022. He was the dedicated partner for 12 years to Laurie Bell.

Born on June 11, 1952, in Wakefield, RI,  Joseph was the only son of three children born to the late Joseph and Audrey (Worden) Posillo.

A hardworking man who took pride in a job well done, Joseph was a self-employed Landscaper who cared for many of the local golf courses in the area including West Warwick Country Club. He always ensured that the greens and fairways of the courses he maintained were kept in tip-top shape for the golfers. After Joseph finished a hard day of work, he would take the opportunity to tee-off and test himself on the course.   

In his spare time, Joseph had a variety of hobbies and interests. He enjoyed going for leisurely rides on his motorcycle and sipping on a good cup of coffee. An avid outdoorsman, Joseph liked to go fishing, skiing, and hiking. Above all, Joseph truly cherished the time spent and memories made with his dear family and friends.

Joseph is survived by his proud son: Joshua Posillo and his wife, Ashley Lefebvre- Posillo. He was the loving brother to his sisters: Patricia Posillo and Rosemarie Posillo. He will be sorely missed by his extended family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend memorial visiting hours on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at the IANNOTTI Funeral Home, 415 Washington St., (Rt. 117/Original Location), Coventry. A Funeral Service in remembrance of Joseph’s life will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
