SPADA, JOSEPH P., 86, of Coventry, passed away at home, with loving family by his side, on Friday, March 28, 2025. He was the beloved companion of Evelyn F. Harris. Born in Waterbury, CT, he was a son of the late Peter and Helen (Turillo) Spada.
Joseph graduated from New Haven College in 1964, earning a Bachelor’s degree. He went on to achieve a degree in engineering from the University of Connecticut. Joseph was employed as an engineer for General Motors and later Textron for many years. Always staying active, Joseph owned and operated Pete’s Drive-Inn seafood restaurant and Antique business in Pomfret, Connecticut for several years. After moving to Rhode Island, Joseph and Evelyn were the proprietors of Old Stuff Antiques with locations in East Greenwich and in Foster. He was also a realtor with Century 21.
He was the father of Michelle Moro, Joelle, Wendy, and Peter Spada. He was the brother of Diane Lawson and Linda Sullivan.
