JUDITH R. (COMO) HACKNEY

HACKNEY, JUDITH R., 75, of West Warwick, passed away unexpectedly with loving family by her side, on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. She was predeceased in 2013 by her beloved husband of 45 years, Edward H. Hackney. 

Born in Pawtucket, Judy was a daughter of the late Michael P. and Teresa A. (Andrews) Como. 

Judy attended the Rhode Island School of Practical Nursing and spent her 36 year career as a nurse at Kent Hospital, where she retired in 2007. She enjoyed spending time with friends, shopping, reading, baking, and her pets- especially her cats “Tye” and “Felix”. Above all things, Judy was completely dedicated to her family, especially her grandchildren, Madilyn and Samuel. 

Judith is survived by her children, Scott E. Hackney of Flowery Branch, Georgia, and Rebecca J. Hackney-Bliss and her husband Timothy M. of Franklin, MA. 

Judith’s funeral services and burial at RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy’s memory to the Providence Animal Rescue League (PARL.ORG), would be appreciated. Arrangements by Iannotti Funeral Home.
