JUNE CYR Obituary
CYR, JUNE ANN, (PALERMO) 89, of Coventry, peacefully passed away at the Hope Health Hospice on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph D. Cyr in 1991. Born and raised in the Federal Hill section of Providence, she was one of four daughters of the late Carmino and Anna (Rossi) Palermo.
June was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all. She radiated an exuberant warmth and welcoming spirit. She loved caring for her family, especially her three grandchildren. She also helped her husband run his business while taking care of three children. June enjoyed listening to all genres of music, especially Stjephan Hauser the cellist, Classical and Classic Rock music. She also enjoyed movies, she would tell anyone she could to watch The Shawshank Redemption, and Dances With Wolves! June was the epitome of resilience. She took anything life had to offer with a smile and a quiet grace that was an inspiration to all. She was a fighter, but she fought with love. She will be missed by anyone who knew the joy and warmth of her presence.
June was the mother of Joseph T. Cyr and his wife Mary, of Johnston, Debra A. Ruzzano and her husband Robert of Scituate, and Susan J. Ducharme of Coventry. She was the grandmother of Neil A. Ruzzano, Michaela A. Ruzzano and Cameron T. Ducharme. June was the sister of Christina Laliberte of North Smithfield, Eileen Sindoni (Joseph) of Providence, and Sandra Rini (John) of Cranston. June is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visiting Hours will be Thursday morning, May 22, 2025 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (I95/Exit 18/Rte.3) Coventry, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in the Holy Cross Church, 118 King Philip St., Providence. Interment at Saint Ann Cemetery in Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org) would be appreciated.
