RICHER, KAREN, M., 61, formerly of Coventry, passed away at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket on October 30, 2020. She would have turned 62 on November 25, 2020.
She was the daughter of the late William and Viola (Coutu) Legault.
Born and raised in Coventry, Karen was a 1976 graduate of Coventry High School.
Karen loved to cook and was known for her ability to make anyone laugh with her keen sense of humor and joyful lightheartedness. She enjoyed hiking and fishing and you could find her in front of the television for every Patriots game. She had a kind heart and a soft spot for animals. She loved music and dancing and her energy was infectious.
She is survived by her children Joshua Richer and Samantha Lawton (Joshua) and one-year old granddaughter, Norah. She also leaves her brother, Norman Legault (Heidi) and six sisters; Cheryl Parrott (Thomas), Patricia Siedlecki (William), Carmel Wilson, Carolyn Livernois (Robert), her twin sister Kathleen Benjamin (Ronald Desrosiers), Robin Legault, 15 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Albert “Butch” and Brian Legault, and her niece Angel.
A celebration of Karen’s life, while observing social distancing and adorning a facial covering, will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 20, 2020 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Coventry. In lieu of flowers, donations to “The Providence Center – Women’s Road to Recovery”, 528 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 (https://give.providencecenter.org/) in Karen’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
